The girls’ had their piano recital yesterday afternoon. They also had their guild performances last Thursday. The guild requires them to sit in a room with a judge and play all the pieces they have been working on for the last year. Elena learned and memorized 10 pieces while Katie had 15 pieces to play. That is nothing if not a testimony to the capability of young brains. I can’t even memorize a phone number anymore.
They did well on Thursday and on Sunday as well. It is always amazing to see the strides they have made in the last year. They do work hard, but I give a lot of credit to their wonderful teacher, Linda. She has been such a blessing to us. We found her through a friend and I had in mind to interview at least three teachers before deciding which one to choose. I threw those plans out the window after 5 minutes with Linda. She feels that her musical talent and that of her students is a gift from God. Her job is to motivate each student to use this gift as fully as possible. She prays for each kid and I just knew she was the one for us. She lovingly sets the bar high and my kids love her even when she is insisting on them doing the very best they can to perfect their pieces.
In these last few months she has been a safe and secure place for my children. She is always ready with a hug and a prayer.
We are so blessed to have her in all our lives.

Both girls look sweet as usual, but WOW does Katie look grown up! Love her dress. Have a wonderful Monday!
So precious! I wish I could play the piano and Mason won’t play because he says it’s ” for girls ” maybe I’ll strike luck with Ella?!
beautiful young ladies there..Meme sure was praising them yesterday…..
Wish I could’ve been there. I’m sure we will get to hear it all on video! Can’t wait to see those Guild pins!
You have every reason to be a proud mommy. They really do look so grown up! I hope to see you all in July on way from KY to VA.
Congratulations to Elena, Katie, Linda and the proud MOM!!!
